After a full year of design, testing, field use, and 8 different prototypes… the PREDATOR and PREDATOR HD are finally here.
This project started with a simple question:
Can the iconic Woodlore-style woodscraft knife be improved?
Together with William Collins of WC Knives, we set out to modernize a classic by combining timeless woodscraft geometry with better steel, better ergonomics, better features, better materials, improved sheath options, and a more realistic price and wait time.
The result became two knives:
The PREDATOR
3/32” AEB-L steel
13° Scandinavian grind w/ 0° bevel
Designed for control, carving, fire craft, and all-around woodscraft performance.
And the PREDATOR HD
3/16” blade stock w/ Saber Grind
Built for users wanting a heavier-duty survival option.
In this video I unbox both knives, discuss the philosophy behind the design, share the origin story of the project, and put them to work in the field.
