You're Not Too Old to Survive - Here's What Changes

Preparedness doesn’t retire, but it does change.

What happens to your survival plan when you’re 60, 70, or even 80 years old?

You’re Not Too Old to Survive - Here’s What Changes

That question keeps showing up in the comments on my videos — and honestly, I felt it was time to bring in someone who could answer it better than I could.

I’m in my 50s, but my guest, Blackie Thomas, has spent years working with older adults through his Silverwolves program, specifically addressing preparedness, survival, self-reliance, and the changing roles that come with age.

In this 36-minute conversation, we go well beyond gear.

We cover how older adults stay useful in a natural disaster or SHTF situation, choosing survival gear that actually makes sense for your abilities, finding your role within your family or group, and dealing with the frustration of no longer being able to physically do everything you once could.

We also get into something I think is incredibly important: grandchildren.

How can grandparents help prepare the next generation — not just physically, but mentally? What survival skills are worth passing down? And how can someone with decades of life experience become one of the most valuable assets in their family’s preparedness plan?

Getting older doesn’t mean you’re no longer useful. It means you may need to rethink HOW you contribute.

Whether you’re in your 60s, 70s, 80s - or you’re preparing alongside parents and grandparents - there’s something here for you.
