I had the privilege of traveling to Texas to spend time in the shop with William Collins of WC Knives- and together we brought the sixth prototype of the PREDATOR knife to life.
Prototype “Foxtrot” features Firedog red micarta scales, black G-10 liners and pins, relocated laser etching, and a subtle nod to the original Predator film with a custom head engraving and era-inspired font.
The blade remains true to the vision:
3/32” AEB-L steel hardened to 62 Rockwell
13° Scandinavian grind (0° bevel)
4 1/2” cutting edge
9 1/2” overall length

While in the shop, I was heavily involved in the build process - and gained a whole new respect for what goes into crafting a handmade blade.
We’re also developing a Heavy Duty version - the PREDATOR HD - featuring 3/16” blade stock and a Saber Grind. You’ll see that prototype in this video as well.
The goal is to release both versions in June. This is just the beginning.
