After 40+ years using knives in real-world conditions, I’ve developed some clear preferences when it comes to blade design, materials, and performance. In this video, I break down what matters most to me - from blade length and thickness to grinds, bevels, handle materials, and why a good sheath is just as important as the knife itself.

I use my custom WC Knives - Grayman, Tribe, and the new Predator prototype - as examples, but this video is NOT about selling anything. There are plenty of excellent knives on the market that will get the job done. I’m sharing my personal priorities, experience, and the mindset of being a “forever student.”

Thank you for your support. Every knife is a tool, and every tool has a purpose. Understanding your use case is the key to choosing the right blade.

👇 Drop a comment and tell me what YOU look for in a knife. Steel? Grind? Size? Handle material? Let’s build the ultimate checklist together.
