Border Patrol caught 8,870 people on the southwest border in August. The line is quiet. Your street is not.
The people, the routes and the cash networks that came through from 2021 to 2024 didn’t leave when the sweeps did, and the sweeps are over. Border Patrol went back to the fence in February. The man who ran those city operations, Gregory Bovino, is on tonight’s panel, off the badge and on the record.
Do nothing and the first time you learn who moved into the rental three doors down is the night cars with no plates start arriving at 2 a.m.
INSIDE TONIGHT’S FULL SITREP
Guardians get the three moves tonight that turn a quiet street into a watched one before the next network sets up on it.
Build a written baseline of your block tonight.
Learn the four stash-house signs and where to report them.
Keep one route out of downtown that never crosses a protest corridor.
A reader with the baseline notices the new car in a week. Everyone else notices after the raid.
The three moves are below the paywall for Guardians.
WHAT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND
Crossings fell. The people already inside didn’t go anywhere. CBP’s own numbers confirm it: 8,870 southwest apprehensions in August, about one twentieth of the peak months, while more than 2,000 Border Patrol agents spent last fall walking sanctuary cities instead of the line. In February DHS sent them back to their sectors.
The read here is that the routes those agents were walking never stopped: the four-to-a-room rental, the day-labor lot, the car wash with a hand-lettered CASH ONLY sign taped in the window. When the pressure leaves a city the lot refills, the rents on those houses climb back, and a police department told by city hall not to cooperate stops logging what its officers see. (The cartels read the news too.)
The X is the belief that the border was fixed in 2025 and whoever came through it is someone else’s problem, 1,500 miles from your front door.
EARLY WARNING INDICATORS
The pickup corner refills. The lot by your hardware store that emptied last fall has men on it again at 6 a.m. One Saturday is weather. Three weeks across two stores means the pressure left your county. Catch it and you know your area is open for business again.
Whistles and watch flyers on poles. Orange whistles, ICE-watch flyers and QR codes on downtown light poles. Minneapolis built that network in weeks and it beat a federal surge. On your poles it means somebody has a plan for the feds, and you learn the sides on your block before the cameras arrive.
A rental with covered windows and rotating cars. Foil over every window, four or more unrelated adults, cars that change nightly and never use the driveway. One of those is a college house. All three for a week is a stash-house signature agents train on. Spot it and you have the address first.
Tonight’s three moves give you a written picture of your own block, the signs agents use to spot a stash house, and a way out of downtown when it locks.
Stop here and your street stays somebody else’s intelligence problem.
