The U.S. House passed the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act precisely because legislators recognized the danger of government-controlled programmable money that can monitor every transaction, restrict purchases based on compliance, and literally expire if you don’t spend it according to their timeline. Here’s what you need to understand: when the next major terror attack hits (and intelligence assessments suggest it’s not if but when), the federal government will have pre-written legislation ready to deploy CBDCs as the solution. They’ll sell it as tracking terrorist financing, preventing money laundering, and protecting national security.
