Understanding that civil unrest can be weaponized and directed is not paranoia - it’s situational awareness. The difference between a prepared family and a desperate one is the decision made before the chaos arrives. Here is what you need to be doing right now.
Harden your immediate area. Know every exit route from your home, workplace, and your kids’ school. If riots or coordinated attacks ignite across multiple city corridors simultaneously, standard GPS routes will be gridlocked or compromised. Pre-plan two alternate routes for every direction - on foot if necessary.
Build a 72-hour bug-in kit minimum. Water, food, medical supplies, communications gear, and a way to defend your household. If law enforcement is overwhelmed across 25-plus cities at the same time, response times could stretch into hours or never come at all. Your family’s safety is your responsibility.
Establish a neighborhood communication plan. If cellular networks are jammed or overloaded during a coordinated attack, your first line of intelligence becomes your neighbors.
