BLUF MAIN TOPIC: China is a failing country when considering their high unemployment amongst young adults, a preponderance of shuttered manufacturing plants, demographic collapse and social crisis due to their one child per family policy, empty ghost cities, food insecurity as they can't produce enough for their people and their land is very poor for growing purposes [estimated 12% arable], weak military equipment hidden by propaganda, a major morale issue in their military, western countries de-coupling manufacturing from China and political fragility.

China's economy is showing clear signs of significant distress beneath the facade of strength projected by the CCP. Recent data reveals youth unemployment has risen again in 2025, with rates hitting 14.5% in June. This crisis is particularly severe in rural areas where unemployment approaches 40-50% when factoring in underemployment. The "ghost cities" phenomenon - massive urban developments with minimal occupancy - represents perhaps the most visible symbol of China's economic mismanagement. With an estimated 65-80 million empty housing units nationwide, these cities drain resources while delivering little return. Combined with China's demographic collapse from decades of one-child policy, diminishing arable land (less than 10% of global total trying to feed 20% of world population), and escalating military problems including corruption and low morale, we're witnessing what appears to be the early stages of a potential economic and social crisis.
