Following the strikes, federal law enforcement intercepted encrypted messages believed to be of Iranian origin - the kind of shortwave “go signal” that hasn’t been seen since Cold War number stations. CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott put it bluntly in a memo to law enforcement agencies: thousands of Iranian nationals entered this country illegally under Biden, and the threat of sleeper cells or lone sympathizers acting on Tehran’s behalf “has never been higher.”
The National Counterterrorism Center’s own director testified before Congress that approximately 18,000 known and suspected terrorists - individuals with documented ties to jihadist organizations - were allowed into this country through Biden’s broken vetting process. ICE has arrested over 1,400 known or suspected terrorists since 2025 as part of deportation efforts. That’s not a talking point - that’s the federal government’s own numbers.
Iran’s playbook isn’t a sprint - it’s a marathon. Hezbollah has maintained sleeper networks inside the U.S. since the 1980s. Governor Abbott has deployed Texas National Guard and DPS in response to the elevated threat. Disrupt the Texas energy corridor and you hit the entire American economy. Miami / Tampa / Florida
CENTCOM is headquartered in Tampa. Florida’s ports, military installations, and critical infrastructure make it a strategic retaliation target. Intelligence has also flagged financial laundering operations through proxy networks in the region. Florida-based Guardians: this one hits close to home.
Detroit / Dearborn, Michigan
Documented Hezbollah support networks - financing, smuggling, logistics - have long been embedded in this region. Former FBI officials have specifically identified Dearborn as a node in the Hezbollah domestic infrastructure. High activation potential.

Soft Civilian Targets
Crowded public venues with minimal security. Concerts, festivals, sporting events, popular entertainment districts, shopping centers. The Austin bar shooting fits this template exactly. Maximum casualties, instant media saturation, immediate psychological terror.
Transportation Infrastructure
Airports, rail hubs, bridges, tunnels, major ports. Disrupting transportation doesn’t just kill people - it grinds the economy to a halt and generates chaos that compounds for days. Houthi attacks on shipping lanes show Iran’s proxies understand economic warfare.
Symbolic and Government Locations
Federal buildings, courthouses, embassies, monuments. These attacks are about sending a message to Washington - and to the world watching.
Religious and Cultural Institutions
Synagogues are the most historically documented target in the Iranian/Hezbollah threat matrix. The 1994 Jewish Community Center bombing in Buenos Aires killed 85 people - Hezbollah’s operational signature. Maintain situational awareness at any large public gathering, especially in the elevated-risk cities listed above. Know your exits. Know your surroundings. Don’t be the person who wasn’t paying attention.
Harden your home network. Cyberattacks on critical infrastructure affect your lights, your water, your communications. VPN, updated software, offline backup comms.
Keep your emergency kit current. 72 hours minimum. Water, food, comms, first aid, and a plan your whole family knows.
