BLUF

Three senior Iranian officials told Reuters on October 1 that commanders are reviewing plans to hit targets outside the Middle East if U.S. strikes resume. Trump says strikes resume after the midterms. A third carrier and roughly 9,000 more troops are moving toward the Gulf.

Tehran didn’t leak that to a wire service by accident. The message is aimed at Washington, and the places it names are the places you live.

Do nothing and the first you hear about the next IRGC-paid hit in an American city is a police tape across the parking lot of a building your family uses on Saturday.

INSIDE TONIGHT’S FULL SITREP

Guardians get the three moves tonight that take your family off the list of easy places an Iranian proxy can reach.

  • Map every soft target within five miles that fits the pattern.

  • Learn what target surveillance looks like and report it the same day.

  • Set the family trigger before the strikes start.

A reader with the three moves changes his Saturday routine this week. Everyone else changes it after the tape goes up.

The three moves are below the paywall for Guardians.

WHAT YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND

A hired man gets closer than a missile. What’s confirmed: an IRGC operative, Asif Merchant, was convicted in March for coming here to arrange assassinations and recruit stay-behinds. In May the FBI charged a Kata’ib Hizballah operative with planning attacks on Jewish institutions in New York this spring. On October 1 British police arrested a dual UK-Iranian citizen over the Fairford bomb plot.

The read here is that “outside the Middle East” means more of that: paid criminals and proxies already in the West, aimed at synagogues, dissidents, bases and crowds. Nobody has confirmed a cell waiting in a U.S. city. Picture the cruiser idling in the synagogue lot on a Tuesday. That’s where it lands first, and every church and school on the block pays for the same guard.

The X is the belief that an Iranian attack means a missile at a base in Qatar, while the documented plots run through your city’s synagogue, a dissident’s front door and a criminal hired by phone from Tehran.

EARLY WARNING INDICATORS

Cruisers parked at houses of worship. A marked police car at the synagogue, the Jewish school or the federal building on a weekday with nothing scheduled. One day is a drill. The same cars at three sites for a week is an ordered posture change, and you know your county moved before it says so.

Recruiting offices with the blinds down. The strip-mall recruiting office closed midweek, blinds drawn, a sign saying appointments only. One office is a staffing gap. Every office in the metro the same day is a force-protection order, and that comes down hours before the public hears why.

Password-reset texts from your utility. Forced password resets or portal outages from your water or power company in one week. One reset is maintenance. Two utilities plus a news line about Iranian hackers is the cyber side of the same campaign, and you still have time to fill the tubs.

Tonight’s three moves give you the map of the soft targets near your house, the surveillance signs to call in, and a family trigger that fires the day the strikes resume.

Stop here and you find out what the list meant from the news crawl.
